What's in a name?

Metanoia (meta-NOY-uh) is an ancient Greek word reflecting a conscious decision to reorient your whole being–body, mind, and soul–in a new direction. Commonly translated as ‘repentance,' this word is used in the New Testament to refer to the decision the first Christians made to move away from their old lives and toward wholeness in Jesus Christ.

"From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, ‘Repent [metanoia], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'"

Matthew 4:17
